Date: Thursday Evenings March 7th and 14th 6pm - 9pm
Hit the lake in style this year with your very own hand carved canoe paddle. Starting with an Ash blank each student will lay out and carve their own beavertail paddle using rasps, planes and spokeshaves and sander.
Hand carving a paddle is hard work, students should be sensibly dressed and prepared to break a sweat.
Each student will leave with a beautiful hand carved paddle that is ready for final varnishing. Due to drying time varnishing cannot be accomplished in our limited. We will discuss different finishing options and demonstrate how to properly apply them.
No experience necessary, all materials and tools are provided.
