Power Tools 1: Intro to Milling
This 3 hour class is our introduction to shop safety certification. We run through basic workshop orientation and safety rules and cover safety training for the Jointer, Planer, Mitre Saw, and Jig Saw.
These tools, primarily used for basic milling, are the first tools you use for most projects.
We will cover topics like material handling, work flow, grain direction, wood movement, and of course, tool safety.
Saturday classes start at 9:00 am, Tuesday classes start at 6:00. Classes run about 3 hours.
This class serves as safety certification to use these tools in our shop, but also serves as a great foundation of knowledge for anyone getting started in woodworking.
